This painting is two 60's era Great Lake freighters anchored for the winter in the North Slip in Point Edward just north of the mouth of Sarnia Bay Ontario. They are part of the Upperlakes Towing Shipping Company and are seen with their sister ships sailing on the St. Clair River from Port Huron Michigan all shippping season. This watercolor shows the pair on a still cold morning with the sunrise fast fading away.
